The University Communications and Marketing Office of Community Affairs manages a number of community outreach programs that bring Rutgers to the public and the public to Rutgers.

Rutgers Day

With more than 100,000 attendees, Rutgers Day is a fun-filled event offering Rutgers schools, departments, centers, administrative units, and student groups the opportunity to directly interact with the public. All Rutgers schools, departments, centers, administrative units, and student groups are invited to submit programs.

Rutgers Speakers Bureau

As a member of the Rutgers Speaker Bureau, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with community and professional organizations and heighten awareness of your work among key audiences. The Rutgers Speakers Bureau website, searchable by name, topic, or keyword, helps members of the public find speakers for meetings or events. Faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up and join the Speakers Bureau.

Girl Scout Program Award

The Rutgers University in Your Community Girl Scout Program Award is a Cadette Girl Scout/Senior Girl Scout/Ambassador Girl Scout Program Award of the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey, Inc.

Senior Citizen Audit Program

This special program permits retired New Jersey residents, age 62 or older, to attend courses on a space-available, noncredit basis. There are no tuition costs for auditing courses.
