Rutgers offers a number of opportunities for companies, nonprofits, and other external organizations to place advertising in Rutgers media and to sponsor Rutgers events. These publications accept paid advertising and can help you reach Rutgers faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Rutgers Magazine is the university publication for alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Rutgers. Published three times a year, the magazine presents a rich medley of feature stories, news, and vibrant photography that keeps readers abreast of developments at Rutgers—from faculty research initiatives, to student and academic life, to alumni accomplishments. Rutgers University Television Network (RU-tv) is the award-winning campus television network of Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Serving more than 40,000 students, of which 15,000 live on campus, the network offers a wide range of educational, news, public affairs, entertainment, and commercial programming, including eight channels of student-produced programs and more than 100 cable channels, accessible through traditional cable access and conveniently online.

The Daily Targum is the second oldest and among the largest college newspapers in the nation. The Daily Targum is a student-written and student-managed, nonprofit incorporated newspaper published by the Targum Publishing Company, with a circulation of 12,000. The newspaper is published Monday through Friday in New Brunswick while classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters.

The Observer is the student-run weekly newspaper for Rutgers University–Newark. The print edition of the Observer hits stands every Tuesday during the fall and spring semesters. The Observer covers issues and provides news, opinions, arts and entertainment, and sports stories that pertains to Rutgers and the surrounding city of Newark.

The Gleaner is the student-run weekly newspaper of Rutgers University–Camden. The print edition of the Gleaner hits stands every other Tuesday during the fall and spring semesters and is found in 15 locations both on and off campus. The Gleaner’s mission to serve the Rutgers–Camden and South Jersey area with the most up-to-date and popular news, features, arts and entertainment, commentary, lifestyle, and sports stories. Our focus is on the needs of students and our primary goal is to enlighten the students on everything that affects them as a student and a young adult in today’s world.

SIGNATURE EVENTS AND INITIATIVES

When you sponsor signature events at Rutgers, your organization's message and name will reach thousands of members of the Rutgers community and the general public. Here are some popular signature events and initiatives to consider for sponsorship.

  • Rutgers Day attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year and is your chance to be part of all the exciting things happening at New Jersey's state university.
  • Rutgers University Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy in the state of New Jersey. More than $900,000 was raised at last year's marathon.
  • Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH) is the university's year-round program to provide food items and nutrition information to New Jersey residents. RAH welcomes sponsorship of its fundraising activities and food drives.
